Dental Staff

I am a native of Colorado Springs and grew up on the west side of town. My dad was a dentist here from 1952 until 1986. We were able to work together for three years and we had a great time hanging out together and learning from each other. I have kept our cozy location and have resisted the temptation to build a monument to myself and have my patients pay for it. It turns out that it’s the perfect setup for working through a pandemic. Who knew? I have been a practicing student of dentistry since 1983 and value my relationships with dentists from all over the world. 

I have had the pleasure of standing on the shoulders of giants and now am mentoring several young dentists who teach me as much as I teach them. I have embraced new technology and have seen many grey advances in my profession. Through the years the basic values of helping people get what they want and achieving the shared goals of healthy teeth for a lifetime. I was lucky that my sister Paula was a horse crazy girl and I have been in a horse friendly environment since I was 3. 

My wife and I still have horses in the back yard though our grandkids now claim ownership. We are family-oriented people and do most things as an enthusiastic group. All of us enjoy Skiing biking fishing riding and especially playing music. Between us we have a bluegrass band and play and sing till the neighbor’s dogs start howling. I enjoy my wonderful dental family and am ever grateful to have shared a small part of their lives.

I was born in Ontario, Oregon and primarily raised in New Plymouth, Idaho by my hero in life, my Grandpa. Grandpa taught me from a young age that your smile is very important in life which guided me into the dental field. I have been in the dental field for 21 years and love every aspect of it. 

When I am not with my work family I enjoy traveling, going to the gym, spending quality time with friends and living life to the fullest! 

My passion for dentistry began very early in my childhood- as my aunt was my hygienist. In the mid 1990s, while attending Tyler Jr College, I worked and trained as a dental assistant, studying to attain an Associates in Applied Sciences in Dental � Hygiene. After graduating with honors and winning the “Golden Scaler Award” of my class, I have thoroughly enjoyed working in fields of general, pediatric, orthodontic and periodontal dentistry for over 20 years. 

As a dedicated dental health professional, I want to ensure the most positive, comforting dental experience to each one of my patients. In my spare time, I enjoy many outdoor activities including hiking, skiing (both water & snow), gardening and traveling.
